This freelance project was conducted in collaboration with Aerospacelab for their Versatile Satellite Platform (VSP) Vanilla mission. The Grégoire satellite will be the maiden flight of this new product line and will demonstrate the capabilities of the platform. The marmot is a diurnal animal, mostly active at dusk and dawn. It is myopic (like VSP with no payload), which inspired the overlook and color palette of the mission patch. This project was indeed amazing as it involved exploring many iterations until the final design and effectively communicating with stakeholders to understand their vision, which was an integral part of the process.
Hey again, I’m Nirav Patel, a space cadet who just graduated from International Space University with a Master’s degree in Space Studies. My philosophy of coming up with out-of-the-box solutions keeps me motivated in my work. And thanks to my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, I’m a big fan of design, photography, and globe-trotting.
